About the Competition

The competition is to model an existing powertool in CATIA V5. Your aim is to faithfully recreate the surface design. You will be jugded on surface quality and problem solving in the creation of your surface model.

The competition is open to students residing in the United States and  currently enrolled in a college/university pursuing a degree. To participate in the Surface Design Competition, please click on the button below and fill out the application form. Upon acceptance, you will be provided access to an FTP site on which you will be able to upload your 3D models.

The submission period is now over. The Jury is reviewing the submissions and will announce the 3 finalists on January 6th, 2009. The nominees will be interviewed and a final ranking will be announced on February 16th. Complete details and rules can be found here.
