International Design Project
The international design project will bring together students from separate countries; they will work in partnership to design a common device. It will introduce students to global design, while performing a case study on the issues of global collaboration that is facing industry today. This project will also identify some communication needs in international model based design, and be reported at the CATIA Operators Exchange meeting in spring of 2009 in Seattle, WA.
As the project develops we will be posting our designs here. We are going to use campus.3ds to do the majority of our daily communications. The CATIA Model will be posted be December 5th.
Motivation:
This case study spearheaded my University of Idaho student Edwin Anderson will include one school from Asia, one from Europe, and one team from the University of Idaho. A special thanks goes out to campus.3ds for helping get the project rolling and allowing us to use the website as a center hub for communication, also a thanks to Herve Foucher for helping getting schools connected.
