In which countries is CATIA V5 Student Edition available?

CATIA V5 Student Edition is only available for download in the following countries:
- Canada
- Finland
- France
- Germany
- Italy
- Netherlands
- Portugal
- Spain
- Sweden
- UK
- USA.
The coverage will however be extended soon to other countries. Stay tuned!

What are the conditions for eligibility?

To purchase either CATIA Student Edition or 3DVIA Virtools Student Edition, you must be a full time student:
- regularly enrolled in an initial academic program,
- holding a valid proof of academic status.
Participants enrolled in professional training programs, or in continuing education programs, or in a single class are in particular not eligible.

What is a valid proof of academic status?

Acceptable forms of academic IDs are the following (only one is required):
- The student's most recent Report Card (K-12) if applicable; or
- Current semester/school year Student ID; or
- Registration Receipt for the current semester; or
- A Letter of Enrollment on school letterhead for the current year.

What are the software and hardware requirements?

CATIA V5 Student Edition exclusively runs on Windows.
V5R19 is the only version supporting Windows Vista. Earlier releases (V5R17, V5R18 in particular) will not work on Vista.

How long is CATIA V5 Student Edition license valid?

CATIA V5 Student Edition license expires 1 year after the purchase.

Will CATIA V5R19 Student Edition run on the new Windows 7 ?

We do not support Windows 7 yet. CATIA V5R19 might work but with absolutely no guaranty and no support during the installation phase. So, this is at your own risks.
Releases prior to V5R19 will not work on Windows 7.
